While many mental health experts have written about the role of relationships in Borderline Personality Disorder, only a few people who live with the disorder have shared their personal relationship stories in public through a book, blog, video or another format.

One of those people who has is Rosie Cappuccino, a British woman with BPD who writes about her mental health journey on her blog Talking About BPD.

In her blog, Rosie shares insights and experiences that she believes might be helpful to other people confronted by the many challenges Borderline Personality Disorder can raise. She frequently addresses the impact of BPD on close personal relationships.

Talking about BPD Rosie CappuccinoRosie recently announced that she has authored a book, titled Talking About BPD: A StigmaFree Guide to a Calmer, Happier Life with Borderline Personality Disorder. The book is based on her blog and other writings she has published. She describes her experiences with BPD, from the difficulty she had getting a diagnosis, the stigma she encountered, and how she learned ways to cope with the daunting task of living with Borderline Personality Disorder.

It’s a very good read.

I recently interviewed Rosie to speak with her about the book and how her experiences with BPD shaped the narrative.

Part II of my interview with Rosie will be posted next week.

I think you will find Rosie’s story to be enlightening and inspiring.
